4th Grade - The morning group was busy taking the CogAT test. The afternoon class learned that Oblivious means a person who does not know or is not aware of what's happening. A second vocabulary word was System which is an assemblage or combination of things or parts forming a complex or unitary whole. Their successful person was Doris Day who had a lot of struggles that did not reflect her "girl next door" screen image. Students solved similes for the warm up activity. For the rest of the afternoon, students completed Get To Know Me inventories. Next week we can start some other activities.
