We were finally able to start having Enrichment classes at Washington Irving. Here's what we did today:

2nd Grade - This class will start meeting Monday morning.

3rd Grade - First we learned that a Relationship is a connection, association, or involvement. Hans Christian Andersen, author of The Ugly Duckling, had difficulty spelling. For the warm up activity students completed Plexer puzzles which are common words or phrases in picture form. As a class we developed a Code of Conduct or rules to follow while attending Enrichment. While the big theme for Enrichment this year is Thinkers, Thoughts and Thingamajigs, this particular class will focus on the relationship portion of those thinkers. In order to know our current understanding of the topic Dr. Rains had each student take a pre-assessment.
