Third graders continued their state testing today. Classes were shorter and combined to at least see everyone for a few minutes. Here are some things we did today:
2nd Grade - Students began with a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. I collected their egg cartons that we will use next week for making our own Mancala games. Our weekly trip to Crystal Pond Woods had students beginning Visual thinking with Max the Magician. Students were given four different shapes and had to cover the shapes using Tangrams.
3rd Grade - These students completed a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. They continued their divergent thinking by designing a tower from construction paper and 36 inches of tape that will hold a set of encyclopedias. We will test them next week.
4th Grade - This group also completed the Surprise in the Middle drawing. They then began working on a second choice option.
