Third Grade - These students started their activities with a Surprise in the Middle drawing. Students had to listen to oral directions in order to get the desired outcome. For our divergent thinking lesson, we started with a couple of brainstorming topics. Students were then given simple drawings and had to brainstorm a caption for each drawing. Each student then created their own drawing and caption. The final activity was to finalize six towns to visit in Oklahoma, one in each "country," then begin figuring the mileage of the trip.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
