4th Grade - Students partnered up to create a drawing for the warm up activity. One person would hold the pencil still while the partner would move the paper to create a snake. For the affective lesson, students discussed the first of the eight great gripes of gifted kids. Then they finished building their invention to help with the Covid pandemic. Once it was built they had to reflect and analyze their invention for possible ways to improve it.
5th Grade - After completing their snake drawing, fifth graders brainstormed vocabulary words that describe leaders. They then developed an acrostic for LEADER. These classes also finished building their invention to help with the Covid pandemic. Once it was built they had to reflect and analyze their invention for possible ways to improve it.
