1st Grade - Students were introduced to Yolanda the Yarnspinner, another friend in Crystal Pond Woods. Today students learned to change ordinary words for more colorful words in order to make a story more visual for the listener or reader.
2nd Grade - After taking a test to assess students growth in patterns this year, students began brainstorming other ways Dorothy (Wizard of Oz) could have returned to Kansas.
5th Grade - Steppes, a vast semiarid grass-covered plain, usually lightly wooded, was today's vocabulary word. Today's investigator was Andre Garnerin, the inventor of the parachute. These students also completed the Loosen Up balloon drawing for the warm-up activity. Students completed projects on biomes as well as anything left on Lewis and Clark.
Next week will be the last week of Enrichment classes for this school year. Please have your child/ren research and bring a snack for everyone in their Enrichment class.
