1st Grade - Students continued working on their creative writing skills with Yolanda the Yarnspinner. Today, they wrote good news/bad news stories. Reading activities centered around the book, The Birthday Pet by Ellen Javernick.

2nd Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Brevity which is a shortness of something. The investigator was Lyndon B. Johnson who was quite the entertainer. A balloon drawing from Loosen Up was today's warm up activity.

5th Grade - Steppes, a vast semiarid grass-covered plain, usually lightly wooded, was today's vocabulary word. Today's investigator was Andre Garnerin, the inventor of the parachute. These students also completed the Loosen Up balloon drawing for the warm-up activity. Students completed projects on biomes as well as anything left on Lewis and Clark.

Next week will be the last week of Enrichment classes for this school year. Please have your child/ren research and bring a snack for everyone in their Enrichment class.
