3rd Grade - Ruminate, to meditate or muse was today's vocabulary word. Today's investigator was President John F. Kennedy who was a WWII hero. Students completed a Plexer word puzzle for their warm up activity. We discussed heroes after reading a couple of scenes from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The final activity was discovering the water cycle.
5th Grade - Specimen (an individual item or part representative of a class, genus, or whole instance; a sample) was today's vocabulary word. Today's investigator was Alfred Nobel, the inventor of the Nobel Peace Prize who also invented dynamite. They also completed Plexer word puzzles for their warm up activity. We thought about numbers and people for our philosophy question. Students also began studying the biomes of the endangered species they are studying for science.
