2nd Grade - We finished the lesson on qualities to look for in a good friend. Our weekly trip to Crystal Pond Woods had us beginning a visual thinking project where nursery rhymes are turned into visual puzzles.
4th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Demeanor which means someone's behavior toward others. Their thinker was Jackie Joyner-Kersee who overcame asthma to become an Olympic champion in the heptathlon. For the warm up activity, students completed loopy drawings of elephants. Our system lesson had students learning about transportation. Students designed a vehicle that will either be propelled by a rubber band or balloon. Next week we will build and test them.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
