2nd Grade - This class worked together to complete the logic elimination puzzle for the weekly warm up activity. Students then listened to The Hating Book by Charlotte Zolotow. A discussion followed on the importance of assumptions.
4th Grade - The vocabulary word for this group was Robust which means a person who feels healthy and strong. The investigator, Robert E. Lee, struggled with deciding if he should remain with the Union army or stay loyal to his friends and family in the Confederacy. Students worked together to solve a Quizzle puzzle for the warm up activity. Respect and Responsibility were the focus of the affective lesson. When students become bored they begin demonstrating a lack of respect and responsibility. To overcome those situations, students drew cartoons of ways to break boredom. The afternoon was a continuation of the transportation system as students learned about bridges while building with K'Nex.
