4th Grade - The vocabulary word today was Expunge which means to remove; to delete; to erase. Roberto Clemente, who was a hero on and off the baseball field, was today's explorer. Students completed a logic elimination puzzle for their warm-up activity. Their final activity was to built their creatures.
Since construction of the robots is underway, lots of cereal boxes have been used and we will need many more in order to complete the ones the other school sends us. If you empty any cereal/cracker boxes over the next two weeks, please send them to school with your child.
5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Aghast which means shocked; frightened; terrified; taken back. John Muir, the father of our national parks, was today's explorer. These students completed a logic elimination puzzle for their warm-up activity. The affective lesson focused on avoiding peer pressure. We began the ExploraVision project by designing a phone for senior citizens at Edheads.org. Students then brainstormed new or improved inventions they could develop.
For next week, students need to look up some information about their item at home.
