2nd Grade - The vocabulary word for today was Demeanor. Demeanor is someone's behavior toward others. Today's explorer was Abraham Lincoln who was a very relaxed father. Students did some "Loosen Up" drawings for the warm-up activity.
5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Colossal which means enormous, gigantic; huge in size, extent or degree. The explorer was Percy L. Spencer the inventor of the microwave oven. They also completed a "Loosen Up" drawing for the warm-up activity. Thinking about other's feelings was the focus of the affective lesson. The afternoon was spent finishing researching cities and how they have grown or shrunk.
