2nd Grade - Students had the opportunity to finish the convergent thinking puzzles they started yesterday.
3rd Grade - These students learned that Personification means the attributes of human nature or character to animals or inanimate objects. Their thinker was Dr. Seuss who had 27 publishers turn down his first book. The warm up activity had students creating a Surprise in the Middle drawing. For the affective lesson, students were each given a white sheet of paper and a black circle from which they had to create something in 15 minutes. During their trip to Crystal Pond Woods, students were introduced to logic puzzles that used a logic elimination grid as a way to organize information.
4th Grade - These students learned that Overt means something that is open to view not secret. Our thinker for today was Susan B. Anthony who went to jail for voting. Students completed a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. Their affective lesson focused on identifying their positive and negative personality traits. Last week we began our Systems study by listening to a story about Munracks of Veltzar. We then discussed what systems we would find on their planet and drew what a Munrack might look like. Today students got to make a life size drawing of their team's Munrack.
