5th Grade - These students learned someone who is Pugnacious is quarrelsome (argumentative). Their thinker for today was Alexander Graham Bell who experimented with vibrations because his mother was deaf. Students completed a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. Our affective lessons this year are focused on developing leadership in kids. Today, students had to make a human train with each member connected by a balloon. Following the activity we discussed the successes and failures of working together. The rest of the day had students answering questions about research and gathering information for their Bridge Across America project.
