2nd Grade - Students completed the personality inventory this morning.
3rd Grade - These students learned that Polynesian means those island groups in the Pacific lying East of Melanesia and Micronesia and extending from the Hawaiian Islands South to New Zealand. Their explorer was Roald Dahl who had difficulty putting his thoughts on paper as a child, but grew to be a beloved author. Students were introduced the Take 5 program from which will come the third grade Enrichment affective lessons. We then traveled to Crystal Pond Woods where the Puzzlers' Club was meeting and shared several types of puzzles with us.
4th Grade - This class learned that Confound means to confuse or mix someone up. Their thinker was Bill Cosby who overcame a childhood of poverty to become a famous comedian. As a class we developed a Code of Conduct. In order to get to know the students better, Dr. Rains had students complete a personality inventory, an interest survey, and a Thoughts page. The fourth grade Thinkers, Thoughts, and Thingamajigs will focus on Systems. To get started students took a pre-assessment about systems.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
