3rd Grade - Today's word was Gregarious which means sociable. Their investigator was Elvis Presley who was told by his high school music teacher that he couldn't sing. They completed a logic elimination puzzle for their warm-up activity. The trip to Crystal Pond Woods had students playing a game to develop their visual thinking skills. Relationships can be found between Freedom and Laws in particular our Constitution. The science lesson centered on George Washington Carver.

5th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Expedition, a journey undertaken by an organized group of people with a definite goal. Robert Goddard, the Father of Modern Rocketry, was today's investigator. These students also solved a logic, elimination puzzle. Last week, the affective lesson focused on gathering facts before expressing your opinion. Today, students worked on trying to convince others of their opinion from the gathered information. After a brief overview of the Industrial Revolution last week, students researched facts about different aspects of that time period. Students put those facts into a narrative essay today.
