1st Grade - These students completed activities around the book Silly Tilly. They then worked on their Convergent (detective) Thinking Skills.
2nd Grade - Their weekly vocabulary word was Camaraderie which means a spirit of friendship especially in a group. They then completed a following directions/creative thinking activity called "Surprise in the Middle."
Due to the COGAT testing in 2nd grade, they will not be attending my class the rest of the week.
5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Fauna meaning the animals of a particular region or time. The investigator of the day was Milton Hershey, the founder of Hershey's chocolate. They also completed the Surprise in the Middle activity. Codes of Behavior was the focus of the affective lesson. Students then finished their Industrial Revolution essays along with a Lewis and Clark timeline. Those who finished early completed a logic puzzle.
Due to a meeting, Thursday's class met today with the Monday class.
