4th Grade - Due to the Professional Development/collaboration schedule today, there were no Enrichment classes.
Parents of 4th and 5th Grade students: Be on the look out in your child's take home folder for information regarding the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP). More students were identified this year than they sent applications for. More have been requested, so if you didn't receive yours this week, you will get it next week.
In order to qualify for the TIP program, students in 4th grade had to have scored at or above 915 on their OCCT math test or 866 on the reading test they took in 3rd grade. For 5th grade students, they had to have scored at or above 893 on the OCCT math test or 839 on the reading test they took in 4th grade. Qualifying for Enrichment does not necessarily mean they qualify for the TIP program as different tests are used.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
