3rd Grade - We started our learning today with the vocabulary word Preserve which means to keep (something) in its original state or in good condition. The explorer, Albert Einstein, claimed that he wasn't smarter than other people he just stuck with a problem longer. Together we solved the logic elimination puzzle for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on our gifts from nature. We continued our visual thinking lessons by playing the game Numerical Quadrominoes. For the Discoveries lesson we are still working on inventions and developing a product to share what we learned.
5th Grade - This afternoon we learned that a Chaparral is a thicket of shrubs and small trees. Horace Wells, today's explorer, discovered laughing gas could be used as anesthesia. Together we solved the logic elimination puzzle for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on manners and how students could be proud of themselves. Our exploration lesson moved from inventions to space where students learned about joints and plains. They then had to building using those concepts.
