1st Grade - Today's explorer, President Warren Harding, was given a dog when he became President. The dog had a special chair at Cabinet meetings. Students wrote more stupendous statements for Yolanda the Yarnspinner. Max the Magician was introduced. Max tried to trick the students with visual math problems. We then looked for patterns in books.
2nd Grade - This afternoon students learned that a Century is a period of 100 years.The explorer, Rose Greenhow, sank to the bottom of the sea with $2,000 worth of gold.Students worked together to solve the Plexer problems for the warm up activity. In Crystal Pond Woods, students completed using evaluative thinking to solve a real world problem. The final activity was to discover the California Gold Rush.
