1st Grade - Today we learned that our explorer, Ida Wells Barnett, raised awareness for a fair Civil Rights Act back in the late 1800s. For the warm up activity, students worked together to solve a Quotation Quizzler. Students learned to how become yarn spinners and weave wonderful stories with words in Crystal Pond Woods.
2nd Grade - This group learned that cultured means having or showing good education, tastes, and manner. They also learned that Abraham Lincoln, our explorer today and the sixteenth President, was not a stern father. We worked together to solve a Quotation Quizzler puzzle for the warm up activity. Students continued to learn the creative problem-solving process with our friend Jordan the Judge in Crystal Pond Woods.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
