2nd Grade - We traveled to Crystal Pond Woods where Isabel the inventor had students developing their creative thinking using the word SCAMPER.
5th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Occlude which means obstruct or block. The investigator, Elijah McCoy, invented a way for machines to be oiled without stopping the machines. People liked the product so much it became known as "the real McCoy." The focus of the affective lesson was on manners and what students did not want to see their children face. Students spent the afternoon completing Industrial Revolution documentaries and learning about coding.
