2nd Grade - First we had a discussion about anger and how students can control their anger. Students then wrote a letter to Alexander offering choices for the next time he had a bad day. We then had the opportunity to make scribble sculptures.

3rd Grade - This group learned that an Omnivore is an organism, usually an animal, which eats both animal and plant foods. One student announced that Henry Ford invented the automobile. We later learned that Henry Ford did not invent the automobile, but he did invent the assembly line a cheaper more efficient way to make cars. Students completed a scribble sculpture for the warm up activity. In Crystal Pond Woods, Students had the opportunity to use their visual and convergent thinking skill to play the game Web Walkers. The final activity was to learn about the Constitution and how laws produce freedom.

5th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Occlude which means obstruct or block. The investigator, Elijah McCoy, invented a way for machines to be oiled without stopping the machines. People liked the product so much it became known as "the real McCoy." The focus of the affective lesson was on manners and what students did not want to see their children face. Students spent the afternoon completing Industrial Revolution documentaries and learning about coding.
