1st Grade - This class learned that Calamity Jane or Martha Jane Canary risked her life to care for smallpox victims. They worked together to solve the Stories with Holes problem for the warm up activity. In Crystal Pond Woods, students practiced their convergent thinking using Venn diagrams.
4th Grade - Learning for this group started with Exploit which means a daring or heroic act. Thomas Jefferson, today's investigator, died July 4, 1826 the fiftieth birthday of the United States. This class was able to solve the Stories With Holes problem for the warm up activity. Setting goals was the focus of the affective lesson. The next system to be discussed is the metric system. Students estimated the length of ten items then measured the item to check for accuracy.
