Their explorer was Garrett Morgan who invented the first traffic signal which only had stop and go. For the warm up activity, students were given a picture of Omer the Odyssey of the Mind mascot and had to describe in two minutes what they saw. Students then took a post assessment regarding what they learned this year about Explorations. The final activity was to complete an online escape room challenge.
2nd Grade - This class learned the Erosion means the gradual destruction of something by natural forces (such as water, wind, or ice). The explorer, Lydia Darragh was a good listener who learned secrets from the British that she passed on to General Washington's men. These students also completed the Odyssey of the Mind brainstorming exercise for the warm up activity. The final activity today was to complete a post assessment regarding what they learned this year about Discoveries.
