4th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Sublime which means something that is impressive and puts one in awe. Abraham Lincoln, our explorer, grew a beard at the suggestion of an 11 year old girl during the presidential election of 1860. Students had to solve a What in the World puzzle for the warm up activity. The affective lesson had students taking a learning styles inventory that we will use in another lesson next week. Finally, students presented their prezis about hydro thermal vents and finished their healthy menus.
2nd Grade - After listening to No, David by David Shannon and David Gets in Trouble by David Shannon, there was a short discussion about David's choices and how he could have acted instead. Students then thought of a mistake they made and wrote a friendly letter to apologize for the mistake along with how they could make the mistake better.
