1st Grade - Today we learned that Nellie Bly Elizabeth Cochrane was an author who actually traveled around the world in 1889 taking only 72 days to complete the trip. Students worked together to solve a Quotation Quizzler puzzle for the warm up activity. We then started to work on a digital escape room for our final activity.

5th Grade - These students learned that a priori is a Latin phrase based on untested assumptions or theory. Their explorer was Garrett Morgan who invented the first traffic signal which only had stop and go. For the warm up activity, students were given a picture of Omer the Odyssey of the Mind mascot and had to describe in two minutes what they saw. Students then took a post assessment regarding what they learned this year about Explorations. The final activity was to complete an online escape room challenge.

4th Grade - These students learned that Reiterate means to repeat or say something again. Their explorer was George C. Marshall who devised the plan to help repair Europe after World War II. For the warm up activity, students were given a picture of Omer the Odyssey of the Mind mascot and had to describe in two minutes what they saw. Students then took a post assessment regarding what they learned this year about Explorations. The final activity was to complete an online escape room challenge.

2nd Grade - This class built the kites they designed yesterday and had a few minutes left to celebrate our last class together.
