2nd Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Dimensions which means measurement in length, width, and thickness. Their thinker was William Howard Taft who was so big he got stuck in the presidential bath tub. Students worked together to begin solving the Stories With Holes problem for the warm up activity.
5th Grade - The vocabulary word for this class was Sojourn which means a short stay, brief residence. Their thinkers were Richard Knerr and Arthur Melvin who used a new type of plastic to invent the Hula Hoop. Students worked together to solve the Stories with Holes problem for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on communication as part of leadership. Students worked in teams to build a Conestoga Wagon from materials given as the final activity.
