2nd Grade - These students learned that Climate means a region or area characterized by a given climate. Their thinker was Clara Barton who was shot at while helping the wounded at Antietam and never mended the hole in her sleeve.
5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Inception which means start or beginning. The thinker was Milton Hershey who struggled through several failures before developing the candy we know and love today. Students completed a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. For the social/emotional lesson, students continued to develop their listening skills which is necessary for being a good leader. The rest of the morning was spent finishing up the Exploravision project.
