2nd Grade - Each student set a pledge they could keep to their families, friends, school and the environment.
3rd Grade - This class learned that Liberty means freedom from external or foreign rule; independence. Steven Spielberg, who was rejected from film making school because of poor grades, was today's thinker. Students worked as a class to solve the 20 Questions Mystery Object warm up activity. In Crystal Pond Woods, we continued developing our divergent thinking skills. Each group was given 3 sheets of 9 x 12 construction paper and approximately 40 inches of masking tape. The challenge was to build a structure using the given materials that would hold a set of encyclopedias.
4th Grade - These students learned that Potent means something powerful and effective. The thinker was Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who fought racism with peaceful demonstrations. Students worked together to solve the 20 Questions Mystery Object for the warm up activity. The rest of class time was spent finishing up researching a planet and creating a travel brochure for the planet.
