1st Grade - In Crystal Pond Woods, students were given the opportunity to finish some drawings demonstrating creativity. Reading activities centered around A Rain Forest ABC.
2nd Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Din which means a loud, continuous noise. The investigator was Gertrude Ederle, the first woman to swim the English Channel. A logic elimination puzzle was today's warm-up activity.
5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Paunch which is another word for belly, especially a pot belly. The investigator was Elijah McCoy, the son of run away slaves who invented the "Real McCoy." Today's warm-up activity was a logic elimination puzzle. For affective thinking, students discussed ways they might gain some understanding of someone else's problems. Our structure lesson focused on the layers of the earth. Students are looking forward to completing an experiment with that lesson. They then had the opportunity to complete some more projects for the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
