4th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Paunch which means the belly, especially a potbelly or the first stomach of a ruminant. Their investigator was the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who led the civil rights movement of the 1960s. The warm-up activity was a logic elimination puzzle. Students completed some math problems converting watts to amps or kilowatts. They finished the day by completing some projects for the Lewis and Clark study.
