2nd Grade - The affective lesson focused once again on the importance of keeping friends to help relieve stress. As a reminder, students made friendship bracelets.

4th Grade - Harsh, which means unpleasant to the senses; unpleasant conditions, was today's vocabulary word. Abraham Lincoln, the first president to grow a beard, was today's explorer. Students completed a Plexer puzzle for the warm up activity. Assessments were taken on Systems and Explorations. The affective lesson centered around an inventory of student learning styles. Students explored ancient/simple machines for the closing activity.

5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Prototype which means an early or original example upon which later examples are based. The explorer was Alfred Nobel who not only set up the Nobel Prize, but was also the inventor of dynamite. Students completed a Quizzles, logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity. The philosophy question today was: If many people believe that something is true, is it true? An end of the year post test about structures was followed by a brief research project about space travel.
