2nd Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Lapse which is a temporary pause or interruption. Nancy Hart, a southern spy, was today's explorer. Students completed a Quizzles, logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity.
5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Prototype which means an early or original example upon which later examples are based. The explorer was Alfred Nobel who not only set up the Nobel Prize, but was also the inventor of dynamite. Students completed a Quizzles, logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity. The philosophy question today was: If many people believe that something is true, is it true? An end of the year post test about structures was followed by a brief research project about space travel.
