3rd Grade - Pernicious which means dangerous, deadly-was today's vocabulary word. The explorers were the Wright brothers. While these two men weren't good at book learning, they were skilled with their hands. That skill led to the invention of the airplane. The lesson from Crystal Pond Woods had students evaluating potato chips. In the Discoveries lesson, students discovered the difference between a paleontologist and an archaeologist. They also had the opportunity to dig in chocolate chip cookies for "dinosaur bones". The Relationships lesson focused on the causes of animal population decreases.
