2nd Grade - Today's activities started out by listening to a story while students wrote their vocabulary word down. The word was Discover which means to see, find, or become aware of (something) for the first time. George Washington, who was the first President of the United States under the Constitution not the first President of the United States, was today's discoverer. Students discovered the Mystery item for the warm-up activity. Together we came up with a Code of Conduct to follow for the year while in Enrichment. A pre-assessment was taken to discover what students already know about "discoveries". Finally, we took a trip to Crystal Pond Woods and learned how to use a logic elimination grid to solve problems.
