4th Grade - Today's activities started with the daily vocabulary. Overt means something that is open to view; not secret. The explorer was Susan B. Anthony who campaigned for women's rights to vote. A surprise in the middle drawing was the warm up activity. The affective lesson exposed students to vocabulary terms specific to understanding their social and emotional constructs. In the case of Marco Polo vs. the City/State of Venice, the prosecution presented evidence for their side. Students determined the illness that has affected Burrow County. They are now "interviewing" residents to determine the source of the illness. The main focus today was to learn not to jump to conclusions, but to look at all of the evidence before drawing a conclusion.
