3rd Grade - Students learned that Prospect means the possibility that something that will happen in the future. The explorer for today was Michael Jordan, who didn't make his high school basketball team at first but later became an NBA star. Students completed a What in the World puzzle for the warm up activity. We learned a little bit more about our national treasures and how we need to protect them. The final activity was learning how to brainstorm using a web.
5th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Soporific which means sleep inducing. Their explorer, Thomas Alva Edison, not only invented the electric light bulb but several other useful items as well. These students also completed the What in the World puzzle for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on how students would react in different situations. The final activities were to finish up the E.coli presentations and continue developing their Exploravision projects.
