1st Grade - These students learned that Calamity Jane should have been named Lucky Jane because she was able to help a lot of people in trouble. For the warm up activity, students had to draw around their initials until they were hard to find. In Crystal Pond Woods, student continued their detective thinking working with Venn diagrams.
3rd Grade - Today we learned that a Nobleman is a man who is a member of the nobility. Their successful person was Louis Pasteur who was not a good student until he went to college and began to study science. These students also drew around their initials to hide them. In Crystal Pond Woods, students used criteria to decide what they wanted to do in class today. The Discoveries lesson had students learning about Mary Anning a young fossil hunter who discovered many rare dinosaurs and then doing a readers theatre about other paleontologists.
