1st Grade - There were two ponderers today: Chester A. Arthur and Calvin Coolidge. Both men had help from advisers to complete their presidential tasks. Students completed a logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity. In Crystal Pond Woods, students developed their creativity by completing several pictures. The Patterns study found students searching for patterns in poetry/nursery rhymes and continuing to add to the patterns they found.
5th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Rapacious which means raptor-like, preying on others. The ponderer was Ada Lovelace who wrote a computer program in 1843. Students completed a logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity. The affective lesson had students designing caps and t-shirts that represented various aspects of their lives. The rest of the afternoon was spent completing the history of items that will make up their project for ExploraVision.
