5th Grade - Fifth graders enjoyed a trip to the OKC Phil harmonica this morning. Dr. Rains spent the morning working with small groups of students around the building and will make up today's class tomorrow.
4th Grade - The vocabulary word for these students was Excessive which means something that goes beyond the usual limit. George Washington Carver, today's explorer came up with more than 300 uses for the peanut. Students completed a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. Personal safety mechanisms was the focus of today's affective lesson. For the Explorations lesson students learned that many of the things we have today came from other countries which is called cultural borrowing. The final activity was to analyze the windmills we build and determine ways to improve them.
2nd Grade - These students spent their time finishing the attribute logic puzzles they started yesterday.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
