4th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Buffoon which means a joker who amuses with jokes and tricks, a bumbling or ridiculous person, a fool. Our explorer was Susan B. Anthony who advocated the right to vote for women. A plexer/logic puzzle was today's warm-up activity. The Systems study began with a pretest of what students currently understand about systems. The affective lesson discussed Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. In the Case of Marco Polo, the prosecution presented their evidence to the case.

5th Grade - Afloat, a floating condition; awash, flooded, was today's vocabulary word. Earle Dickson, the inventor of the Band aid, was today's explorer. The warm-up activity was a plexer/logic puzzle. Our study of structures began with a pretest of what students currently understand about structures. Honesty was the focus of today's affective lesson. The prosecution presented their evidence in The Case of Did Marco Polo Really Travel to China?
