2nd Grade - The affective lesson today dealt with the generalization: "Being gifted means different things to different people." Today we answered the question, "What does it mean to be gifted?"
4th Grade - Today's word was Guerrillas which means members of an irregular military force operating in small bands behind enemy lines. Our hero was Jane Addams. She was one of the first American women to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work. The warm-up activity was a Loosen Up drawing. "What's on your Mind?" was the focus of our affective thinking lesson. Marco Polo was the topic of our first Exploration lesson.
5th Grade - The fifth grade vocabulary word was Outfox which means to outwit; to overcome by cunning or cleverness. Their explorer was Nicholas Cugnot, the first man to attempt to develop a horseless carriage. The warm-up activity was a Loosen Up drawing. Courage was the focus of the affective thinking lesson. Marco Polo was the topic of our first Exploration lesson.
