2nd Grade - This week's vocabulary word was Oblivious. A person who is oblivious does not know or is not aware of what's happening. Deborah Sampson was the investigator today. Ms. Sampson disguised herself as a man and fought in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Their warm-up activity was a Loosen UP drawing.
5th Grade - The fifth grade vocabulary word was Outfox which means to outwit; to overcome by cunning or cleverness. Their explorer was Nicholas Cugnot, the first man to attempt to develop a horseless carriage. The warm-up activity was a Loosen Up drawing. Courage was the focus of the affective thinking lesson. Marco Polo was the topic of our first Exploration lesson.
