3rd Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Prognosticate. Prognosticate means to predict. The explorer for today was Charles Dickens, the author of Oliver Twist. Students completed a plexer or logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity. Our affective lesson had us discussing Above Average Ability. In our discovery lesson, students watched Abel's Island. This was a preliminary activity to the discovery of hurricanes. We began the relationships study with a pre-assessment.
