2nd Grade - Today, students listened to The Patchwork Quilt by Valerie Flournoy and created their own patch to add to the Enrichment quilt.
4th Grade - Today's word was Guerrillas which means members of an irregular military force operating in small bands behind enemy lines. Our hero was Jane Addams. She was one of the first American women to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work. The warm-up activity was a Loosen Up drawing. "What's on your Mind?" was the focus of our affective thinking lesson. Marco Polo was the topic of our first Exploration lesson.
