2nd Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Sullen. A person who is sullen is sulky or quietly in a bad mood. James Monroe, our 5th President was the for today. Mr. Monroe was so poor in his old age that his daughter had to support him. This week's warm-up activity was a Stories With Holes problem.
5th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Fervor, which means ardor; zeal; earnestness. Today's explorer was John Pemberton who developed the tonic that later became Coca-Cola. These students also completed the Stories With Holes problem for their warm-up activity. The affective lesson focused on what students have learned by accident.
