2nd Grade - This morning, I was subbing for the administration team while they were away for training. Class will resume tomorrow.
5th Grade - Runt which means undersized, a small animal or person, was today's vocabulary word. Their explorer was Tom Adams, the inventor of chewing gum. Students completed visual thinking puzzles called Word Winks for today's warm-up activity. The affective lesson had students pondering questions about themselves. The Structures lesson had students adding to what will be a time line across the Oregon Trail. Finally, the Exploration study had students discovering items that we have borrowed from other cultures.
The electronic tablets have arrived from Donor's Choose. I'm going to take some time to get acquainted with them before the students will get to use them. I do appreciate those who helped get these wonderful tools for my class.
