2nd Grade - Their vocabulary word today was Benevolent. Benevolent means kind and caring. The explorer was James Madison, our 4th president. Students completed visual thinking puzzles called Word Winks for today's warm-up activity.
5th Grade - Runt which means undersized, a small animal or person, was today's vocabulary word. Their explorer was Tom Adams, the inventor of chewing gum. Students completed visual thinking puzzles called Word Winks for today's warm-up activity. The affective lesson had students pondering questions about themselves. The Structures lesson had students adding to what will be a time line across the Oregon Trail. Finally, the Exploration study had students discovering items that we have borrowed from other cultures.
