4th Grade - We learned that Spry means someone who is nimble or lively. John Glenn, our explorer, was the first man to orbit the earth and the oldest person in space. Students worked together to solve a Quizzle puzzle for the warm up activity. For the Power of 1 lesson, students shared their products and what they learned about world hunger. The final activity was to open the bottle from a stranded family and locate cities along the Pacific coast in Asia and North America.
5th Grade - Thursday and Friday groups were combined because of the testing schedule. This group learned that Vociferous means loud and vehement.. Today's explorer Alfred Nobel, not only created the Nobel Peace Prize, he also invented dynamite. Students worked together to solve a Quizzle puzzle for the warm up activity. For the Power of 1 lesson, students shared their products and what they learned about world hunger.
